Build Project Permissions

Build projects have slightly different permissions than a Design project and this article will help break those down.

Organisation Level Access - learn more about granting organisation permissions

Admin  - An admin does not automatically get editing rights to a Build project. The project may not be under their ownership and so while they can still see all of the signs in a Build project, they do not get access to the Kanban view and editing capabilities unless specifically granted them.

Viewer - A viewer can still view all signs. Nothing new here.

When Creating The Project - These permissions only matter when companies are collaborating. If the fabrication/installation will be done by the same company as the design, simply put yourself as both roles when creating the project.

Manager - The designer or owner who is assigning work to the fabricator. This position gives oversight but not direct editing access once the signs are in the Build project.

Builder Project Manager - This user will be the first one granted access as an editor of the Build project. Think of them as the first "Installer" (see section below) who can set things up and invite subsequent users to the project.

These users will have access to all signs within the project.

Builder - An Installer can edit signs that are currently within the Build project. This includes the ability to:
- Move signs between states
- Attach photos and comments to signs
- Update the content of Detail fields (but not Message since those are locked by a Build project)

Viewer - A viewer will see all signs that are currently included in the Build project

State Level Access - learn more about granting state level access
These users will have access only to the signs currently in the state.

Reviewer - Can mark signs as approved or rejected during install and capture photos of them.
