Artwork Isn't Using the Correct Font

There are 3 common issues that will cause SignAgent to render artwork with the wrong font.

  1. Font names consider capitalization and may need to be renamed to read correctly

  2. Font file types need to be lowercase. A file with uppercase file type (TTF instead of ttf) can also experience issues.

  3. The font's file name does not match the name it is referenced as within the font or uploaded SVGs. The steps below explain how to correct this issue.

The example below shows an incorrect braille translation. Instead of the braille characters, we see the code used for the translation. The next few steps will outline the process of fixing this error.

Font Name Mismatch - Step 1
1. Begin by going into "Manage Fonts" to identify the problem.
Font Name Mismatch - Step 2
 2. Select the font that is not rendering correctly
Font Name Mismatch - Step 3
3. Delete the font that is causing the issue to identify what the specific error may be.
Font Name Mismatch - Step 4
4. Edit sign type where the font is not rendering and re-upload the template SVG.
Font Name Mismatch - Step 7
5. This will generate an error that can be viewed from the "Template" tab
Font Name Mismatch - Step 8
6. This error will list the exact name required within the SVG. Copy the that name and then click "upload font" to go directly to the font creation page.
Font Name Mismatch - Step 9
7. Paste the copied name of the font directly into the name for the new upload. Then re-select the file, agree to the license terms, and save the font.
Font Name Mismatch - Step 10
 8. The artwork will now properly render that font.
