Sign Markers Not Aligned
Are the sign markers not appearing correctly in SignAgent after uploading a new floor plan? This tutorial will walk through the steps of how to resolve this.
Note: If you sign markers are not aligned on your exported PDF plan, this is commonly caused by an unflattened location plan. Please see this article on how to flatten your PDF's before uploading them to SignAgent.
Sometimes the scale of the previous location plan can be different from the values that were entered into SignAgent (even if they were 0), which can cause issues like the example below.
1. Delete the new floor plan
This will bring the floor plan back to its original state, so we can determine the true scale of the previous floor plan.
2. Download the previous floor plan and find the scale
Do this by measuring a known real‑world dimension in the PDF (e.g., door width) using Acrobat’s Measuring tool and calculate the scale.
Sometimes a scale may be listed on a plan but not be accurate. Measuring to correctly determine scale ensures that the value entered into SignAgent is correct.
3. Enter the correct scale into SignAgent for the existing plan
Once the true scale has been determined, enter the value into the "scale" section and choose "Save & Close".
4. Upload the new floor plan
Now that the proper scale is set for the previous plan you can upload the new one. Enter the proper scale and choose "Save & Close".
